Problem Statement

Perform the research part of the design process to understand how the Gen-X of your family uses WhatsApp. The purpose is to develop an understanding of their behaviour, usage patterns and gather findings that can be distilled into insights.

What is Gen-X?

Generation X is the demographic cohort following the baby boomers and preceding the millennials. Researchers and popular media use the early-to-mid-1960s as starting birth years and the late 1970s to early 1980s as ending birth years, with the generation being generally defined as people born from 1965 to 1980.

Primary Research

For primary research, I conducted user interviews . I interviewed my dad, mom, grandmother and to get a contrast to their experience, i interviewed my sister as well.
